Scoresheets: A Message from the Games Secretary -
Completed scoresheets are to be placed in the box downstairs at the clubhouse after the completion of each game. It is the winning team's responsibility to ensure the yellow copy of the scoresheet is placed in the box. If any scoresheets are not handed in by the end of competition on that day, then no points will be awarded.
If the age/grade/division is not marked on the scoresheet, then no points will be awarded.
If the team names are not written above the players' names on the scoresheet, then no points will be awarded to that team.
Players' names must be clearly marked as to whether they played or not. There is a column for this next to the players' names on the scoresheet, and should be indicated by a 'yes' or 'no' (Y or N, tick or cross, are also acceptable). If there is no indication of whether a player has played or not, then the player will be deemed to have NOT played in that game. Please also be aware that the names of players on the scoresheet should be the name that they are registered as. If a coach/captain is unsure of players' registered names, they can obtain a team list from their club. If a players' name is incorrect on the scoresheet they will be deemed to have not played in that match (spelling errors are ok, just ensure names are correct).
Substitutes must be written in the correct place on the scoresheet, not included with the players' names. The substitute's name and registered age/grade/div must be marked on the scoresheet. If the substitute is written in the wrong place, or missing any information, then they will be deemed to be an illegal sub, and penalties will apply. If a substitute replaces an injured/ill player during a match, then indicate on the players' list which player is injured/ill. This will avoid penalties for too many substitutions. A player may only sub for the same team twice in one season. If a player subs for a team more than twice, they will be deemed to be an illegal substitute and penalties will apply. If anyone is unsure about who may or may not sub, then please refer to the Blue Book.
Penalties will apply from Round 6 (15/5/10).

Umpiring: A Message from the Umpires Committee - As from week 5 ALL UMPIRES MUST be in uniform, and joggers. This is either Club uniform, which may include Club track suit, white or cream. No coloured jumpers, thongs, street shoes etc. We expect our players to be in uniform so if the umpires wish to gain respect from the players they must earn that respect and the first thing is to be correctly attired. Please make sure your umpires are checking that players are not wearing jewellery before the start of each game. This is not a local rule but an AANA rule and is a legal responsibility. Also nails MUST be cut short, no long nails or jewellery under gloves. Players wearing gloves for health reasons may not have long nails or rings etc under these gloves and will be asked to remove them. Over the next few weeks Umpires will be checked for correct dress and may be asked if they are checking jewellery etc. by members of the umpires committee or WDNA executive. If not properly attired they will be removed from the game and that team/club will have to replace the umpire. Added Wednesday 12th May 2010.
